The Cause of Sickness

In the following table we have simply listed 82 cases from the Bible where the Bible lets us know where suffering comes from. This list is restricted to cases of sicknesses only - one form of suffering, the one that probably causes most cases of a suffering humanity.

In this table of 82 cases we have listed in the first column the case number or item number. In column two the scripture reference is given. In column three the individual that has been made sick is recorded. In column four the kind of sicknesses is given. In the last column, in column 5, we have shown whom the Bible records as having caused the sickness - the person who makes sick. Now to make it easier for the eye to glance down this last column and get an immediate overview of the majority of cases, we have used abbreviations in this last column: "G" stands for God, "A" stands for an angel of God and "M" stands for a man of God. In addition we have shown "A" and "M" in bold type to make it easier for the eye to see these few cases. When it is an angel of God or a man of God and the name is known, then we have given this name as well. When you look at the table you will see that the majority of cases have a "G" in that last column and this means that the Bible records God as cause of the sickness.
